2020 Markel brunch: frequently asked questions

Below are some frequently asked questions related to Markel's annual brunch gathering at the Omaha Marriott Downtown on May 3, 2020.

Question: How long does the meeting last?

Answer: The actual meeting will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. There is no set end time for the meeting but it usually runs until approximately 12:00 p.m.

Question: Do you have to be a stockholder to come to the meeting?

Answer: No.

Question: Can I bring guest(s) to the meeting?

Answer: Yes, we request that you make sure you register all guests on the 2020 Markel Brunch site so we have an accurate count of who is attending. 

Question: What is the location of the meeting?

Answer: Capitol Ballroom of the Omaha Marriott Downtown; 222 North 10th Street; Omaha, NE.

Question: Do I have to bring anything to show in order to get into the meeting?

Answer: No. We request that you register all guests, but tickets are not required for entry.

Question: Will there be annual reports available at the meeting?

Answer: Yes, but limited amount of hard copies will be available at the meeting. Once they are all gone, we will not have access to any more. However, you can always find an electronic version of our most recent annual report on our investor relations page.

Question: Is there an age limit for attendance to this meeting?

Answer: There is not a particular age limit to attend this meeting but we do suggest that small children not attend.
