DUBAI, 30 October 2025 — Markel Insurance, the insurance operations within Markel Group Inc. (NYSE:MKL), today announced the appointment of Luna Bonifacio as Senior Claims Adjuster, based in Dubai, with immediate effect.
Bonifacio joins the Asia Claims team, overseeing claims from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), with a focus on Casualty. Reporting to Bo Yu, Head of Claims for Asia, she will be the primary on-the-ground contact for insureds and brokers, supporting underwriters and enhancing client service delivery.
This appointment is a significant milestone, as Bonifacio is taking on Markel’s first claims role based in Dubai. It highlights Markel’s commitment to regional expansion and empowering teams across Asia Pacific (APAC) and MENA to make decisions closer to customers.
Bonifacio brings extensive experience in Casualty claims, having previously held senior roles at Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), where she was instrumental in building the regional portfolio. Prior to this, Bonifacio held positions at Sedgwick, Zurich and RSA, where she developed a reputation for technical excellence and client advocacy.
