Markel makes first dedicated claims appointment in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, 6 August, 2026 — Markel Insurance, the insurance operations within Markel Group Inc. (NYSE: MKL), today announced the appointment of Audrey Pang as Senior Claims Adjuster, based in Hong Kong, with immediate effect.

Pang joins the Asia Claims team as the first dedicated claims professional in Hong Kong, marking an important step in the continued growth of its local platform. Reporting to Bo Yu, Head of Claims – Asia, she will manage claims arising from Markel’s Hong Kong and China portfolio, with a particular focus on Professional and Financial Risks (PFR).

The appointment reflects Markel’s wider investment in local talent across Asia Pacific and its focus on building claims teams with the local market understanding, relevant technical skills and authority to support brokers and clients more effectively in the markets where they operate.

Pang brings specialist experience across Financial Lines and Cyber, joining from Zurich Insurance Company Limited in Hong Kong, where she was Claims Lead for Financial Lines and Cyber. In that role, she managed Financial Lines and Cyber claims in Hong Kong, dealing with complex claims, litigation cost management, vendor engagement and governance reporting. She previously held underwriting roles at AIG across Financial Lines and Cyber.
