Ankur Saxena

Ankur Saxena joined Markel in May 2024 as an Underwriter in our International Casualty team.

Ankur began his career as a liability underwriter in 2015 and has worked on different regional and national roles with Tata AIG and ICICI Lombard, the majority of which in casualty underwriting.

He is responsible for developing the casualty book in India as part of a new vertical being set up globally, leveraging his and the team's existing relationships to establish a profitable portfolio with a sustainable market presence.

Ankur completed his undergraduate studies with a specialisation in economics, followed by a postgraduate degree in finance. He is a travel enthusiast and a foodie who loves to watch online shows and Formula 1 races.
