Claims leadership
Bo joined Markel Singapore in March 2020 as the Claims Lead for Asia. He began his career in 2011 as a Claims Executive doing cargo settling and recovery work for underwriters globally at Dolphin Claims. Subsequently, he joined Marsh Singapore as a Claims Broker. He was managing the Cargo claims portfolio out of Marsh Singapore and expanded his marine knowledge into Hull, P&I and Logistics Liability. He then switched to handle marine claims for direct insurers like Great American and QBE before joining Markel. Bo has over 13 years' experience in the marine insurance market and has been a Member for the Legal & Liability Committee of IUMI since 2022.
Bo is responsible for managing a team of claims adjusters who deal with claims arising out of the Asia book. These include Marine, Energy and Professional Financial Risk.
Bo holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law and Arbitration from the National University of Singapore.
