Clifford Blayney

Clifford Blayney joined Markel in November 2014 as an Underwriting Assistant within the Energy team. At the end of 2021, he joined the Sustainable Energy & Power team, with a primary focus on offshore wind. Prior to Markel, Clifford was an Underwriter at a couple of different insurers, focusing on Personal Lines insurance. He is primarily focused on offshore wind with a responsibility to enhance our product offering to brokers and client, quoting and leading operational and construction business globally. His role also involves developing and implementing our wider conventional power offering, as we look to support clients throughout the energy transition space.

Clifford holds a BSc (Hons) in Banking, Finance and Management from Loughborough University. He has a wife and two young daughters, so his weekends are filled up with various activities such as soft play and swimming. His favourite restaurant is Yauatcha City in Broadgate Circle, London.
