Head of Cyber
Dan Fox joined the Markel Cyber team in September 2022 as Senior Underwriter, before becoming Head of Cyber in September 2024. He began his career supporting the Professional Indemnity underwriting team at Aspen, before moving over to the Cyber & Technology team in 2016, where he supported and developed a large and complex portfolio. He has over 10 years’ experience in the Lloyd’s and Company market, and is familiar with a wide variety of business segments, trading partners and distribution methods, predominantly in the Cyber & Technology product lines.
Dan is responsible for managing Markel’s Cyber proposition in London, which includes a market leading suite of insurance products and a 12-person team of underwriters and underwriting assistants.
Dan holds a BA (Jt Hons) in English and Philosophy from the University of Nottingham, and is a Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
