Edward joined the MECO Group in October 2010, which became part of Markel in July 2025 and rebranded as MECO Specialty.
Prior to MECO, Edward was a Partner at a shipping and trade law firm and spent some 18 years in private practice across three London law firms.
Edward is responsible for the day-to-day management of MECO Specialty's claims team across its global operations.
Ed holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Leicester and undertook the Common Professional and Law Society Professional Exams at the College of Law. He has lectured and presented extensively on various aspects of maritime law.
