Claims Adjuster, Equine & Livestock
Ellie Wharton joined Markel in June 2021 as an Intern in the Equine & Livestock Claims team. She began her career in 2016 as a groom for a 5* professional event rider before moving to an international dressage yard and stud for three years.
Ellie was promoted to Claims Adjuster at Markel in January 2022, specialising in bloodstock and livestock claims. She is responsible for adjusting global bloodstock and livestock claims and equine liability claims in the UK.
Ellie holds a BA (Hons) in Equine Business Management from Hartpury University and recently finished an MSc in Equine Science.
