Livestock
James has worked at Markel since 2003 and currently works as an Underwriter in our Livestock team. He began his career as an Assistant Underwriter within the Markel UK Legal Expenses team, underwriting a diverse portfolio of products and tailored solutions for a wide variety of affinity organisations and the broker market.
Eventually, James rose to the role of Technical Underwriting Manager within the division. James transferred to the Livestock team as an underwriter in 2023. Markel's Livestock offering is well-established in the market, with global reach, broad risk appetite and a diverse portfolio. James builds and maintains broker relationships, helping to service clients’ needs and deliver new innovative solutions.
James holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from Nottingham Trent University.
