James Crawford

James joined Markel as Casualty Underwriter in Melbourne, Australia in May 2024. James has over six years' experience in the insurance industry having started his career at Chubb in 2018 in the operations department, where he assisted the underwriting team with data entry and processing.

Following this, James progressed to underwriting roles at AXA XL and AIG where he developed his knowledge and experience. James is responsible for growing the Casualty portfolio in the southern region of Australia.

James holds a Bachelor of Business from Latrobe University. He lives in Melbourne, recently got married and has two puppies. James loves sport, particularly Australian Rules Football (AFL) and enjoys supporting his favourite team, Collingwood.
