Jenny Choi

Jenny Choi joined Markel in July 2024 as a Senior Underwriter in our International Casualty team.

She started insurance in Melbourne in aviation insurance in 2006 and joined a Lloyd’s Syndicate in Singapore in 2011 to underwrite aviation business in Asia. She has 18 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance, have worked at Aon Benfield, QBE and began underwriting casualty business at Liberty Specialty Markets and her last role was with Swiss Re as a senior casualty facultative underwriter. She is responsible for developing a casualty portfolio in Asia and establish a brand for Markel as a professional specialty casualty insurer.

She holds an Master’s in Financial Management from Melbourne University and is a Chartered Insurer with the Chartered Insurance Institute. Jenny lives in Hong Kong with three dogs and a cat. She enjoys her karate training and morning swims and jogs before work. She is currently undertaking a postgraduate degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour with the University of Edinburgh. She is also a certified dog trainer and canine hydrotherapist.
