Kevin Leung joined Markel in 2023 as Chief Underwriting Officer, Asia Pacific, bringing more than 28 years of insurance industry experience across the Asia Pacific region. He began his career as a Professional and Financial Risks broker before moving into financial lines underwriting in 2000, and has held senior leadership positions with Swiss Re, Catlin, ACE Group and AIG.
Since joining Markel, Kevin has played a key role in strengthening the region's underwriting capabilities and driving profitable growth across Asia Pacific. Following his appointment as Managing Director – Southeast Asia, Kevin is responsible for overseeing Markel's operations in Singapore and Malaysia, supporting the execution of the company's regional strategy, enhancing product offerings, and strengthening broker and client relationships across the region.
Kevin holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from University College London and an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from City University London.
