Senior Executive Officer, Dubai
Max rejoined Markel in the Dubai office in 2021. He started his career in London for Markel as a Trainee Upstream Energy Underwriter in 2013 before progressing through the team. He then spent three years in Dubai working for a local insurance company as their Lead Energy Underwriter before rejoining Markel as Head of Upstream, Asia in 2021 and then Senior Executive Officer in 2022.
Max is responsible for building the Dubai office out, in line with our 'Accelerate Asia' plans, strategically growing the existing portfolio and continuing to diversify the product lines offered in the region.
He graduated from Newcastle University with BA (Hons) in Government and European Union Studies. Max lives in Dubai with is wife, and enjoys playing padel and golf in his spare time.
