  • Know the driving hazards you can face on the road

  • Follow traffic rules and obey signs and signals
    • Be especially alert at night for signs and signals that may be difficult to see. This often happens in rural areas where there is almost no lighting at all or in metro areas that have a lot of bright lights.
  • Be a safe and defensive driver every day
    • Do not let your emotions get the better of you, no matter what the situation may be. Keep cool and calm while operating a vehicle.
  • Know how to respond to an accident
    • Know the basic steps to first aid should anyone be injured and require your help. Keep your first aid kit stocked up.
