Your special day is almost here, and you want it to go as smoothly as possible. That’s why we’ve put together a checklist for the final stretch. If you’re working with a wedding planner, share this list to check if everything is covered.

One month before wedding

  • Obtain your marriage license
  • Create and print wedding program
  • Follow up with guests who have not yet responded
  • Start creating seating chart
  • Final dress fitting
  • Communicate wedding rehearsal details to wedding party and family
  • Secure wedding insurance
  • Start breaking in your wedding day shoes!

One week before wedding

  • Check in with your vendors to confirm arrival times and setup and takedown procedures
  • Finalize seating chart
  • Create seating place cards
  • Pay vendors who need to be paid before wedding
  • Provide final guest count to reception site
  • Confirm guest dietary restrictions and allergies with the caterer
  • Start packing your overnight bag
  • Give itinerary to wedding party
  • Keep breaking in your dancing shoes – it’s a long day!
  • Check in with your hair stylist and makeup artist
  • Check on wedding cake delivery
  • Confirm transportation pickup times
  • Verify flower delivery

Wedding day

  • Check the weather and decide if you need to implement your back up plan
  • Bring:

- Vendor contact information
- Bridal party contact information
- Day’s itinerary
- Overnight bag
- Marriage license
- Wedding attire
- Wedding jewelry
- Wedding rings
- Ring pillow
- Flower girl basket
- Wedding programs
- Distribute tip money in envelopes
- Bridal kit (hairspray, pantyhose, safety pins, lipstick, sewing kit)

  • Make sure the following items are in place:

- Aisle runner
- Bouquets and boutonnieres
- Unity candle
- Cake top and decorative knife for photo ops
- Decorations

  • Make any final payments
  • Eat and stay hydrated
  • Relax and have fun
