If you had to sum up your team in one word, what would it be?

Resilient!!!

How do your teams services free the performance of our clients?

At Markel we pride ourselves on providing a fast and reliable service to both our brokers and Assureds. Global social, political and economic situations can be extremely fluid and can change overnight. As a result, we keep fully up-to-date with world news and events to ensure we understand how this can affect our clients. We work closely with our brokers and other teams within Markel to ensure we continue to provide this high quality service and give our clients the confidence to perform at their best. This is not only true of underwriting, but also claims. At Markel, our claims team are award winning and should our clients need them, use their depth of expertise and thoughtful approach to give them the freedom to move forward.      

What is unique about your product line or team?

We have to react quickly and efficiently in response to global social, economic, political situations and therefore cover changes, especially in the Marine War environment. Vessels work all year round, seven days a week and we are always on hand to provide support to our brokers and Assureds when they need us. We are a forward thinking and progressive team that focus on our clients and their operations.

Our hull and war team offers a full range of products on a worldwide basis (excluding sanctioned territories) with a particular focus on North America, Northern Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
