About Bri

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, raised into the AQHA industry by well-respected professionals and judges Mike and Charlene Carter. My first word as a baby was actually "horse", and I've been a part of the horse world in every chapter of my life since. Growing up on a fully operational training farm and traveling all over the U.S. to shows was truly rewarding. I learned about the value of hard work, and growing up in that kind of special environment has certainly made me into the person I am today. Having grown up in this industry, I understand the time, dedication, and investments made, as well as how important it is to protect what means so much to the people who make it their way of life too.

I have done everything from starting young all-arounders to showing hunter over fences and even earned a scholarship to compete in reining on the University of South Carolina's D1 Equestrian Team. Overall, I have competed in AQHA, NRHA, hunter/jumper association shows, and collegiate meets over the last several years. No matter what discipline I've tried, I fall in love with yet another side of the industry. During these years, I have learned and witnessed what makes each part of the industry so special, from the horses to the owners, judges, trainers, and families. I know how much goes into it because, well, I've lived it from the start. I now call Oklahoma City home, and I'm looking forward to bringing my lifelong connection into my career with Markel and also giving back to the industries that have given my family so much. For me, this life has never just been a hobby or a choice. It's a home and a way of life I'm proud to carry on. One horse or a whole barn. A pleasure horse or a breeding farm. I know every corner of this industry and am looking forward to connecting with you and helping you with all your coverage questions and needs!
