RICHMOND, Va., April 1, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Markel Corporation (NYSE: MKL) announced the death of Leslie A. Grandis, a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Grandis had been a member of the Company's Board of Directors since 1987 and served on its Nominating/Corporate Governance and Compensation Committees.
