Markel Corporation Announces Leave of Absence by Paul W. Springman

RICHMOND, Va., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Markel Corporation (NYSE: MKL) announced today that Paul W. Springman, President and Chief Operating Officer, has taken a leave of absence for personal reasons. Mr. Springman's responsibilities will be assumed by other members of the Company's senior management team during his absence.
